Maintenance Window

Work will take place between 21:30 and 23:30 Wednesday evening During this time there will be a break of up to 40 minutes while work is carried out. This break will not affect your connection online. It is to do with access to Earthlight hosted services such as e-mail and some hosted websites.

Planned Work

What we are doing is upgrading a storage server and its backup. The two have to be done together as they work closely together.

The first step will be to upgrade the Secondary Server. This confirms the update process and gives us an indication for how long the Primary will take. We then confirm the Secondary is stable and ready for service. At that point we will decide on proceeding with the Primary upgrade process. If we do, then we will have some downtime affecting the services noted above. If we elect to not proceed then we will reinstate the Secondary and resync their processes.

The update brings operating system levels to latest release. Earthlight staff will be onsite at IDC carrying out the work.
