What Is Happening

An early start out of hours for a switchboard that needs replacement.

Maintenance Details

Several Distribution Boards around campus have been identified for replacement due to their age. A number in other wings have been upgraded. One of the Distribution Boards in our corridor is next.

The board carries some load which supports the Machine Room, so additional preparations have been carried out. Earthlight will be onsite as work gets underway in case any issues develop. We will issue an update as work proceeds.

Updates

07:00 Power off to Distribution Board. Monitoring of services shows no issues.

08:30 Sparkies doing their thing. Work is proceeding without issue from our view. Some temperatures have lifted but have largely leveled off.

10:00 Work continues. Temperature has climbed 1 degree, probably as the day warms overall.

11:30 Work continues. Up another degree in UPS room, but still okay. Sparkies putting stuff back together so on home straight.

13:30 Maintenance work completed. Zero service issues. We will continue to keep watch
