What Is Happening

Power maintenance work is being carried out on campus.

Maintenance Details

Delta, the local power network provider is carrying out inspection of their transformers located around campus. This means supply will be off while inspections take place. As there is generator backup in place, the Machine Room will fail over to generator during this time.

Earthlight will be onsite as work gets underway in case any issues develop. We will issue an update as work proceeds.

08:00 And... we're off. Not us, but the first transformer review is underway. Coffee time.

09:45 Two transformers done and team are moving on to the next one.

12:31 Batter up! Our turn for maintenance. Supply pillar turned off. Briefly on UPS while we change across to generator. Staff in attendance keeping watch.

13:45 The Block we are in is the largest, and the transformer also serves two other Blocks on campus. Changeover and servicing took longer as a result but is now complete. We'll carry out some final checks then be leaving site.
